photoNamed by Rolling Stone as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of all-time and the recent recipient of both an Ivor Novello Award for Songwriting and the 2006 BBC Lifetime Achievement Award, iconic British folk rock legend Richard Thompson is one of the world's most critically acclaimed and prolific songwriters. His work is admired and recorded by such artists as Bonnie Raitt, David Byrne and Elvis Costello. From his teenage years as a founding member of the 1960s pioneering group Fairport Convention to duo work with his then-wife, Linda Thompson, and over 20 years as a solo artist, to scoring Werner Herzog's 2005 documentary "Grizzly Man," Richard Thompson's astounding body of work includes over 40 albums of lyrical wit anchored by such a singular acoustic and electric guitar delivery that Newsweek recently announced, "like all genuine art, it satisfies completely."

"Thompson effortlessly demonstrated why so many guitar lovers consider him among the world's greatest players. He coaxed shimmering, pulsating tones from his Lowden guitar and unleashed dazzling solos and fills that somehow never came off like 'Guitar Hero' grandstanding, because they were always inspired by, and in service of, the emotional heart of each song."
Los Angeles Times concert review, November 2009

photoOpening the show is Chris Dracup, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, began performing at the age of sixteen in his hometown of Taos. Since then he has been a singer and lead guitarist with some of New Mexico's favorite bands, including The Muttz, The Rattle Cats, The Chris Dracup Trio and The Chris Dracup Project. Known for his stunning and soulful electric blues guitar, he works in a diverse range of musical styles. His acoustic guitar playing draws heavily from the blues tradition, an eclectic mix of Delta slide, country blues and jazz influences. His songwriting has garnered critical and popular acclaim and won him an enduring fan base.

Fresh grilled food (burgers, brats, chicken sandwiches, salads, fruit) and a full bar provided by the Cooperage.
