This Holiday season what you're gonna wanna do is get yourselves on down to Tumbleroot for a full blown banquet for your ears and derrières! We're serving up a heaping platter overflowing with savory Funk, simmering Soul, and mouthwatering R&B from Santa (Fe)'s favorite little helpers The Sticky and The Ron Crowder Band, and none other than the perennially tasty DJ Dynamite Sol will mixing up all your favorite sweet 'n' tangy booty shakin' jams for dessert!
And because it's that Yuletide season, AMP Concerts and Thornburg Investment Management are throwing this shindig FOR FREE! That's right, all this yummy goodness is available to you and yours for the price of a bit of gasoline (or, alternately, an Uber)! After all, the holidays are all about giving back, right? Community and warmth and good happiness stuff, right? In that spirit, all we ask is that you consider donating at the door… How much? $5? $10? $200? Whatever you're feeling, no donation is too small or large! The bands are already being taken care of through the generosity of our sponsors, so ALL PROCEEDS from the door (you) are going to St. Elizabeth Shelter!
And so, you are cordially invited to join The Sticky, The Ron Crowder Band, and DJ Dynamite Sol for AMP's 1st annual FREE Holiday Celebration at Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery to benefit St. Elizabeth Shelter. Save the date ~ We'd love to see you peeps!
St. Elizabeth Shelter is dedicated to assisting homeless individuals and families by providing emergency shelter, food, case management, counseling, supportive housing and referrals to partnering human service agencies.
Led by guitarist Peter Williams, The Sticky has re-emerged as a sleeker, tighter, and even funkier outfit. This new lineup includes not only Peter's face-melting guitar work. Now The Sticky includes funk master Stephen Peace on bass guitar, Chris Ishee on keyboards, Keith Fallis on drums, Jim Goulden on percussion, and vocalist extraordinaire Toni Morgan. Playing a mix of dead-on heavy funk originals and some not-just-knee-deep covers, Peter and his gang of funkateers keep the party lit all night long.
Ron Crowder is an award-winning singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. An Albuquerque native, Ron has traveled the world as a touring and recording musician, sharing the stage with acts as diverse as Three Dog Night, The Persuasions and Fantastic Negrito, among many others. He performs regularly with his band, which features an all star lineup of some of New Mexico’s finest musicians.
The title track from his debut CD Liberty was awarded Best Song at the 2018 New Mexico Music Awards, and in 2020 Crowder was awarded Best Recording Engineer and Best Pop Song for his song "This is the Moment."
In addition, with the help of KBAC Radio Free Santa Fe, Hutton Broadcasting and SantaFe.com, Ron launched the world premiere of "This is the Moment" live on the air, and donated all of the proceeds from the release of the song to the Navajo and Hopi Donation Drive and Relief Fund, for their continued fight against the spread of COVID-19.
