Join us for a free Rock 101 Showcase Concert!
Youth bands and solo artists from the Rock 101 NM Music Academy will perform a free concert at the South Broadway Cultural Center. Two bands and a solo artist will be performing, and there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions of the youth performers. The 300-seat Center also houses an art gallery and a library, making it a great place for you to visit on a hot summer day. There is also a nearby park that is a perfect spot for lunch.
The Rock 101 NM Music Academy is a year-round music program that caters towards aspiring musicians of all skill levels. Their mission is to empower New Mexico's youth through music and to develop a strong community of talented and professional musicians.
This event is organized by AMP Concerts and South Broadway Cultural Center (part of the City of Albuquerque's Cultural Services department). It is part of a new series that AMP & SBCC are producing to provide musical programs for community youth in the South Broadway area.
There will be a limited number of free public tickets available, but most tickets will be used by school and community center groups.
