Get ready for an unforgettable performance by Willajay, the alternative pop sensation from Albuquerque. Fronted by the lyrical genius of Willa Edwards, Willajay blends classic sounds with contemporary production, weaving together disco, rock, metal, hip-hop, folk, and musical theatre influences. Supported by the dynamic trio of drummer Kendall Jones, guitarist Ezra Sena, and bassist Chris Alires, Willajay captures the raw vulnerability and empowering resilience of a young woman artist today. With themes of grief and self-discovery, their music invites listeners to imagine a world where women thrive despite adversity. Having opened for national acts like Sir Chloe and Hannah Wicklund and featured at Meow Wolf and on HivemindTV’s Hot Underground playlist, Willajay is set to dazzle BOE with an electrifying show.

Kevin Herig is an electrifying singer-songwriter who has been a cornerstone of the Albuquerque music scene since 2006. With a sound that seamlessly blends danceable rhythms and introspective lyrics, Kevin has captivated audiences since his days as the frontman for Asper Kourt, a band spotlighted by MTV Music and The Food Network. Launching his solo career with the acclaimed Give It All Away (2014), Kevin followed up with the EP All You Can't Control (2016) and the LP Stubborn Heart (2018). His music, influenced by legends like Paul Simon, CSN, and the Beatles, showcases a warm, intimate voice and meticulously crafted songs that delve deep into relationships and memories. Kevin Herig's performances are a masterclass in emotional depth and musical craftsmanship, making him a must-see at BOE.

Closing the evening: Acclaimed for her soulful, raspy vocals, introspective lyrics and energetic, full-throttle performances, LA-based singer-songwriter Lauren Ruth Ward continues to break new ground with her latest EP, Self Electric. Its five tracks reflect her personal growth and journey toward self-appreciation. In an interview with Edward Fowler, she describes it as "high-energy, blood-letting, glam-rock shreddy guitar." She explains, "It's a reflection of where I am now and how I'm feeling in my life. I'm feeling really grounded."

The opening track, "Self Love," represents a culmination of experiences and relationships dating back to her early years growing up in Maryland. "All those memories happened here in Baltimore, and they created me," she reveals in her mini-doc about the song. "The good and the growing." Underscoring the track's introspective nature, Ward says, "The song was originally written as a way to call myself out," noting that "the writing takes you through a world of self-pity and rising from the ashes."
