For December we are focusing on local musician Debo, who has been active and vital to the Albuquerque music scene since the 80s. You can count on Debo to be involved in many bands and educational efforts at any given time.  We’ve picked two of her current projects for December’s library shows.

Spanning styles from klezmer to Israeli & Middle Eastern to Sephardic, High Dezert Klezmer performs a lively set, infused with a respect for tradition as well as a playful sense of humor and joyousness. The group will showcase songs in Yiddish, Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) & Hebrew, as well as klezmer dance tunes and instrumental Jewish music from around the world performed on a variety of instruments.
