Tijeras BioZone Open Space is a 4-mile, 1,000 foot BioZone along the largely ephemeral Tijeras Creek just east of Albuquerque along old Route 66. The Creek feeds Albuquerque's aquifer, making it critical for the city's water supply, as well as an oasis for variety of plants and animals. The site contains several cool old buildings and amazing cottonwood trees, and is a strikingly beautiful place for concerts!

Performance Schedule:
6 PM: Doors Open
6:30-7:00 PM: Conservation Carnivale
7:15-8:15 PM: TradiSón

TradiSón is the house band at La Bodeguita del Medio restaurant in Havana, famous for a storied clientele including Ernest Hemingway and Pablo Neruda. The band, as its name suggests, specializes in the son, a musical form that combines Afro-Cuban rhythms and Spanish melody, while performing other lively Cuban musical genres such as guaracha, guajira, and bolero. Albuquerque was the site of their first-ever performance in the United States; this will be the group's fourth time performing in New Mexico.
