Zenobia will sing some blues, pop, disco and gospel standards, honoring artists and composers from across her varied career. She'll also probably perform a song or two from "Hair," which she appeared in on Broadway! She’ll be accompanied by Josh English on drums and Steve Whitman on bass.

Songwriter and recording artist Zenobia began her singing career in her church choir in Los Angeles where she taught herself to play the piano at 5 years old and wrote her first song at 8. After winning local talent shows and awards in acting, at 18, she debuted in the LA company of the rock musical "Hair," then was sent to New York to join the original Broadway company. While in "Hair," Zenobia became a studio singer on recording sessions and live gigs. She's also toured in "Godspell" and "Jesus Christ Superstar." In 2015, she won a New Mexico Music Award for her CD Resurrection. In 2014, the single "One More Night" was awarded Best Gospel Song.

Thanks to the New Mexico Music Commission and the Friends of the Public Library for funding these library shows!
