Severo y Grupo Fuego and Lara Manzanares

We are excited to return for a second year to Winrock Park, with free concerts on Fridays in May, June and July. Last year established Winrock as THE place to be on Fridays! Join us for your favorite local bands, food trucks, beer, wine and vendors, a grassy park, a playground. Something for everyone!

The concerts will start at 6:30 and feature two groups each night. 

• Feel free to bring chairs to the concert.
• Food trucks will be onsite and outside food is welcome in the park.
• Please do not bring alcohol or glass bottles.
• Bring your water bottle, as there are water stations in the park.
• There is ample parking around Winrock.  We encourage people to take advantage of the large underground parking lot.
• This concert series is made possible due to a very generous Visit Albuquerque Innovator Grant.

Severo y Grupo Fuego, a dynamic Latin band, emerged from the vibrant streets of Albuquerque influenced by upbringings in Chimayo, New Mexico, in 2010. Founded by lead vocalist Severo Martinez and keyboardist Adrian Medina, the group has since become synonymous with infectious rhythms, soulful melodies, and a fusion of Latin genres that captivate audiences throughout the southwest. 

Hailing from diverse musical backgrounds, the members of Severo y Grupo Fuego bring a rich tapestry of influences to their collective sound. Together, they create a musical experience that transcends borders and genres. Their passion for creating unforgettable musical experiences ensures that Severo y Grupo Fuego will remain a fixture in the Latin music scene for years to come. Get ready to dance, because Severo y Grupo Fuego is turning up the heat!

Lara Manzanares is an award-winning bilingual singer-songwriter of Northern New Mexican heritage. In addition to singing the Mexican boleros, rancheras, and corridos of her sheep-ranching childhood, Lara also composes her own style of music in both English and Spanish. Through a combination of storytelling and songs both playful and sincere, Lara draws on her rural New Mexican roots and her urban experiences across the U.S. and abroad as she sings about love, loss, a sense of place, and her own connection to the land. Lara collaborates with many local musicians and notably has two singles with Felix Gato Peralta that have become huge regional hits.
